Inventory Bar Coding
All property and evidence inventory stored within PRIMS is tied to a customizable bar code identifier to ensure 100% accountability during evidence movement or status changes.
These bar codes are not only printed to labels to be placed with the individual items, but also appear throughout the various reports within the system, allowing quick access to detailed information regardless of whether or not the item is in hand.

Chain of Custody Chain of Custody
PRIMS tracks all status changes, check-ins, and check-outs to inventory within your property room to produce a detailed Chain of Custody for a case, an individual item, or a collection of items. The Chain of Custody information captures what happens to each piece of property and tracks the date and time of the change. Additionally, as customized by your agency, information such as handling officers, court orders, and digital signatures may also be captured. Like most functions of the system, the Chain of Custody view is available as a report, but is just as effective when viewed on screen, aiding all initiatives for a paperless agency.

Advanced Security
Not only does PRIMS contain robust User Management with varying degrees of system access, it has also progressed to the industry standards including complex password requirements, scheduled and/or immediate password expirations, and SSL security. Data modifications, from general updates to single field changes, are tracked for all users and displayed to those users with Administrative privileges, detailing who and when any piece of information was modified. The Audit information is readily available to view per case, item, particular user, or user(s) within a date range.

All property rooms perform the same function, but every property room performs that function differently. Using the Administrative Tools within PRIMS allows for mass customization of how information is entered and displayed throughout. Additional data entries may be added to cases or items, selection lists can be modified or added to, item classifications and status are created to your agency's specifications, and many other areas are available to tune to system to your needs.

Custom Reporting
Using the search engine provided with the PRIMS system, limitless ad-hoc reports can be generated, printed, and exported to various media. Additional reports already embedded within the system allow for complete customization, including Change of Status Receipts and User Defined Case Reports, which can be used to produce legal pleadings, court orders, or agency specific documents.

Symbol MC50 Mobile Inventory Management
PRIMS 5G is integrated with a variety of Symbol Mobile devices, including the MC50, MC3000, and MC9000. These portable devices allow for quick and easy data collection, inventory management, movement, and signature capture without the need for a desktop computer or laptop. Using this device, items may be signed off by judges while at the court house, and inventory catalogued while on-scene.
